Nice article. I just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out why it was giving me the good ole deja vu feeling until I finally remember and found this TechCrunch article I read last week: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/06/05/virtualdatingassistantscom-lets-you-outsource-your-online-dating-life/. There is now a company designed to allow men to fully outsource their online dating, using what they call “007″ dating assistants. Crazy stuff!

@Maria – Thanks. Both good points that illustrate that Bond lives life to the fullest. Maybe it’s better to burn out rather than fade away.

@Alex – Thanks for your comment. True, fun was the theme with the post ;) Maybe the point is that working the best years of your life to have a retirement at the end is maybe not the best way – just because it is the cultural norm, doesn’t mean it’s relevant now. Thanks for stopping by.

Fun post, but some of this is a stretch. For instance, as Ian Fleming often explains, Bond spends his money extravagantly because he has absolutely no reason to save it. He knows he’ll never see retirement.
